Chevrolet 302 Experimental Aluminum Engine (NOS-1513)
Chevrolet 302 Cubic Inch aluminum GM experimental engine with casting number 0-359198 and cylinders heads with casting numbers 0-267335 and the heads are both dated 12-21-65. Back in 1979 this engine was on the cover of Hot Rod magazine and is in the feature article, built by Kieth Black Racing Engines of South Gate California. The goal was to make at least 500 HP. It did and it only has dyno time on it. It is ready to be put to use. Complete from the Holley carbs to the oil pan. Included are the headers (not photographed) that were used on the dyno as well. Also included is the Aluminum 4 bbl prototype intake manifold with a casting number of 0-226597 and no date code. This is the only engine like it that I have seen in my 30 years of collecting rare and exotic Chevrolet performance parts. Note: This block was also used in the 1963 Grand Sport Corvettes of which they produced 5, however, the 1963 version was build as a 377 cubic inch version.
