3 series carrier is used when you are using 3.08, 3,23, 3.31, 3.42, 3.55 or 3.73 gear ratios. Yukon Duragrip posi for GM 12 bolt with 30 spline axles. For 3.08 and up. The Yukon Duragrip uses a nodular case and forged 4320 internals for added strength along with composite clutches for high performance and long life. All units are rebuildable.
