| Description | Rear end housing backing plate gaskets. These are used between the axle flange and the drum brake backing plate. If these are not in place the axle lube slowly works to the end of the axles out the ends and coats the brake backing plates and inner drum wetting the shoes causing them not to work. The original cars had a thin metal gasket that once removed can seldom be reused. These are replacement gaskets made the same shape of the originals. Update your drums today with this brand new kit and they will work like new. Old rusty, worn out parts can cause the system to work poorly. These are concourse quality exact reproductions, made to NOS specifications exactly the same as the original GM parts. Applications: 1967-1981 Camaro & Firebird, 1964-1972 Chevelle & El Camino, 1973-1977 Chevelle, Lemans, Cutlass, Century, 1970-1972 Monte Carlo, 1969-1972 Grand Prix, Buick Skylark, Pontiac GTO, Olds Cutlass, 1968-1974 Chevy II Nova, Ventura, Apollo, Omega and any other GM Cars with 9 1/2" rear drum brakes. |
