| Description | Upper control arm ball joint installation rivet kit, bolt-on style, 8 pieces included. Replaces original GM part# 118066 or 104252. These are the rivets that are used to hold in the upper control arm ball joint. When the ball joint is replaced the old rivets must be drilled out and bolts used in place. These rivets are are designed for that factory look for your concourse restoration, show car, or driver. From the top they look like a rivet and from the side you cant see they get the nut. Easy to install - drill out old rivets - Bolt the ball joint in with the supplied hex head bolts that come with the new ball joint, then one at a time replace the bolts with the rivets. This way the ball joint is tight and the rivet can be tightened without spinning. Once tight use lock tight liquid green and they will never come loose or come out. Note: not all ball joints are the same - These work with all GM ball joints and from what we have see all TRW. They do not work with MOOG because the hole is triangle shape and oversized so a large head bolt is the only thing that covers the hole. These will work on any GM car from the 60's to the 80's that have bolt in ball joints.
