Description	1969 Camaro 427 ZL-1 All Aluminum engine. This listing is for the engine that is currently in the #40 1969 ZL-1 Camaro we have listed in the cars for sale section. Recently we have obtained the original born with factory original engine to the #40 ZL-1 car. That engine is being assembled and then being placed on the Dynometer. This engine is to be sold after the original engine is ready for installation. The engine being sold here is a May 1969 dated original 427 ZL-1 engine. At the time of building my car this was the very best engine I could find. No repairs or damage. Never blown up or cracked. I specifically used all original NOS GM parts such as NOS Camshaft, NOS GM 695 piddle valve lifters, NOS valve train components, NOS connecting rods, NOS balancer, mint original 198 intake manifold, original 7115 casting crank shaft, super nice 074 cylinder heads with no repairs. Scott Tiemann who is the owner of Super Car Specialities in Portland Michigan restored the #40 ZL-1 Camaro for me. He also assembled the engine shown in the photographs. The engine runs perfectly and it doesn't cough or sputter when cold starting it. Imagine that!! All my other cars have to "warm up" and require extra babying until they are fully warmed up. This ZL-1 Engine simply stated starts and idles and runs without issue. What is included: Complete short block from oil pan to carburetor, Valve covers, water pump, brackets, pulleys, fan blade and NOS GM clutch. All hardware will either be replaced and provided or what is shown in the photograph. Certain items are not included such as the smog system, and dated alternator, cowl induction system, as they are original to my car, however, I will provide everything from the carburetor to the oil pan including a complete functioning Transistor ignition system.
