1969 Camaro COPO 427 4 Speed Current Restoration
Weekly Updates with More Pictures to Come...
This ultra rare, unusually optioned, 427 COPO Camaro is currently under a complete restoration. This car is part of the Heartbeat City's owner's Rare Camaro Collection. Built at Norwood Ohio GM Assembly Plant in June 1969. Sold new at Decker Chevrolet in Defiance Ohio. A dealer that is no longer in business. This is one of two 1969 Camaro 427 COPO cars delivered and sold at Decker Chevrolet. The other was a hugger orange 4 speed car. We are looking for that car and we are also looking for a license plate frame from Decker Chevrolet.
The owner has the complete ownership history on this Rare Camaro. It has been documented by Jerry MacNeish and restoration should be be completed sometime in January 2020. Our owner purchased this car several years ago and has been collecting NOS and Rare parts for the restoration all along. We are proud of this 427 COPO and wanted to share the photos and restoration progress with you, our clients.
This will make for a wonderful car as it is a 427-425 HP 4 Speed 4.10 Positraction Heavy Duty axle, Daytona Yellow, black vinyl top, front & rear spoilers, Endura front bumper, (the original), black standard interior (original), center floor console, stamped steel base wheels and tinted glass at all locations.
This is a complete frame off nut and bolt restoration with no expense spared on this original 34,000 mile 4 owner car. Stay tuned for more photos as the restoration continues.
It is important to know that we use the parts we offer on our website to restore our cars. We use NOS parts where possible and everything else comes from Heartbeat City Camaro.
