1967 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 302-290 HP 4 Speed              GM Tech Center Car

Super high quality restoration performed by Scott Tiemann. This Ultra Rare Z/28 was sold new in Michigan back in June 1967. The original owner still resides here in Michigan. The car was located some time ago by the original owner who had found his original window sticker and he searched and found the car. Original window sticker is included with the purchase of the car. The reason photos of the original sticker are not provided in because people are using these original window stickers to produce reproductions or fakes.

This Z/28 won the Vince Piggins award and scored 989 points out of 1000. The car has been on display at a museum in Tennessee for about 12-14 years until recently. I purchased the car a couple months back and reviewed all parts on the car. We have updated a small handful of items. Correct rubber seat back bumpers with the original part number, we also replaced the door jamb bumpers with the bumpers with the mold numbers as original. The U jamb rubbers were replaced with the correct 1967 versions. The radiator cap was also replaced with a correct cap. None of these items were available when the car was restored. There is nothing more that can be done to improve the car. The paint and trim and all fitment is excellent. There are so many NOS parts on this car, it would be impossible to list.

I recently spoke to the the original owner's son who is the 2nd owner. He informed me that this 1967 Z/28 Camaro was ordered thru the GM Engineering Program in Late February 1967 by his father. The car was then built in the 3rd week of April and delivered to the GM Tech Center. The original bill of sale is in his father's name and he is the man who purchased the car directly from GM's Employee Sales Lot. In May 1967 he prepared the car for racing. The car was street and strip raced during the remainder of 1967 and then in 1968 they ordered one of the first GM Crossram manifolds and installed it on the car. He indicated to me that you couldn't even purchase the Crossram intake at that time as they were intended for TRANS-AM Racers only. The NCRS Report shows the car was delivered to GM Engineering Center. Mr. Burrell prepared this car for racing and you can see it at the NHRA Nationals in one of the photographs.  This is the "King Camaro".  We may have a 8mm or 16mm video of this car racing. More to come soon.
