1967 Camaro Convertible RS/SS 350 Indy Pace Car 4 Speed

We just recently finished the high quality frame off restoration of this wonderful "1967 Camaro Indy Pace Car". The restoration is of the highest quality possible with attention to smallest details. This ultra rare Camaro was completely dissembled for a complete nut and bolt restoration.
 
The car was obtained by Heartbeat City from a gentleman in Indiana who collected parts for this car since 1977. Heartbeat City's owner sold him NOS and rare parts since 1988 where he would run into him at Super Chevy Sunday at the Indianapolis Race Way Park.
 
This Indy 500 Pace Car still retains the original born with 350 engine, Muncie M-20 Transmission and the factory installed 12 bolt Posi-traction rear axle.
 
Options include: Rally Sport, Super Sport 350-295 HP engine, Deluxe blue interior, Deluxe blue seat belts, console, U17 Instrumentation consisting of the dash mounted 5500 red line Tachometer, console with gauges, clock, Muncie M-20 Wide Ratio 4 Speed, Special Interior Group, Style Trim, Deluxe Steering wheel, Tinted glass, AM Push Button Radio, Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Dual Exhaust System and so much more.
 
In the course of the restoration we used a minimal amount of reproduction parts. Note the GM Taillight housings, NOS wheel opening moldings and RS rocker moldings, 3 Piece riveted GM grille assembly, Original 2 piece rotors, stainless steel sleeved 4 piston calipers, original brake booster, Original GM DG codes disc brake rally wheels. All moldings are original NOS GM or restored & polished GM originals. All new date code correct glass. We stopped at nothing to make this Camaro all it can be.

General Motors built approximately 100 cars for the Indy 500 Race and another 10-15 cars were available for various dignitaries. GM of Canada received roughly 20-25 more cars. So total production sits at or around 140-150 cars. This particular car is on the Pace Car Registry.
