1968 Camaro Z/28 RS 302 Crossram Hemi Canted Valve
This is one rare Camaro. Original 13,000 mile car with original transmission and rear axle assembly. Original black special order paint with dash dash coded trim tag. The Deluxe Artic White interior is quite rare to boot.
This car is so rust free it is hard to describe. The car is spotless clean with all original panels and original black paint.
The engine was purchased from Junior Johnson's estate. Junior received the engine as a gift from Smokey Yunick around 1970.
The engine was used to race briefly and never suffered any damage.
The Crossram intake manifold is original and quite rare. All of the Hemi parts are O-dash part numbered prototype parts. See the photos to review the intake manifold inside and out.
The Holley carburetors are original List # 4210 matched set dated April 1968. The car still retains all of its original dated components such as the 814 alternator and the original starter.
There are 10 Hemi head Chevy 302 Prototype engines in existence. Most are owned by very wealthy collectors who will never sell them. Many higher end collections do not even have a Hemi 302 Prototype engine.
We know of 2 collectors that have 2 of the engines in cars.
We can't name them here for privacy reasons, but we have seen all but 1 of the 10 units.
